Already on 9 June 2022 at 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. (EEST), live seminar dedicated to infrastructural cross-border projects within the 3 Seas Initiative (3SI) framework will be held in Helsinki, Finland and will bring together the top transport industry professionals, transport analysts and government officials from Poland, Finland, Latvia, and Estonia to discuss common goals of further development of the 3SI region’s connectivity.

Increased connectivity of the 3SI’s region underscoring the importance of cooperation along the north-south axis of the region is undoubtedly one of the main objectives of the initiative. Currently it is also a driving force behind building a cross-border infrastructure as well as developing mutual understanding and infrastructural strategies for the region as a united actor on a global platform.

Opening address will be given by Mr. Piotr Rychlik, Ambassador of Poland to Finland and Mr. Edgars Bondars, Ambassador-at-large for the 3SI, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, followed by presentations on the regional cooperation in the Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltic Sea Region with participation of Mr. Adrian Mazur, General Director of the Department of Transport Strategy, Ministry of Infrastructure of Poland, Mr. Juko Romakkaniemi, CEO of the Finland Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Peter Vesterbacka, Founder of FinEst Bay Area.

Later, the session will be continued with presentations by Mr. Kaspars Briškens, Multimodal transport expert and Moderator of the 2022 3SI Summit and Business Forum’s Transport panel, Ms. Veronika Jóźwiak, Senior Analyst in the Polish Institute of International Affairs and Mr. Anvar Salomets, Chairman of Board at the Rail Baltic Estonia.

All sessions will be followed by a comprehensive panel discussion and Q&A session.
